sifted words — look around.
I’ve been doing a lotta lookin’ lately. Looking outward at the beautiful things around me and not taking for granted this blessed life I lead, even when I can’t do math or things don’t go as planned and all I want to do is eat brownies. Looking inward at the joy and blues together, trying to work out the inner kinks and refine myself into a more well — and well-rounded — person who sees the glass half full a little more often. Looking forward to what the next few months will (or, more aptly, may) hold. But it all starts with looking. Because life moves pretty fast; if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
Ah, Ferris. Fount of wisdom.
Anyschways… here’s just a little bit of what I’ve been lookin’ at lately:

My town.

Weird places where I’ve interviewed people.

Tattoos.

The furball at my feet.

Roads (and the journeys therein).

Family (though they’re not always looking at me… HI MOM!).

Pie. Always pie. Preferably chocolate pie.

Or candy. From Easters.

Spring and sunshine.
What are you looking at these days?
I am looking at my beautiful children and how they have become wonderful adults (and one becoming one). I am looking at the spring and how each day brings new life in the trees and the flowers. I am looking at the glass half full. I am looking at my brother and even though he is enduring such pain how that pain is bringing him closer to his family. I am looking at the bright side to all the illness and how God has been there every step of the way and He shows himself even if we choose not to see it. I am looking at your future and am excited for it. I am looking through my camera and seeing life differently and I would be looking at you if you asked! (Okay maybe not) ๐
Mom — I like it what you see. ๐ Love you!
