sifted words — mama’s day
Greetings, ladies and gentlefolk, and a very happy midweek to you all!
There’s so much to be excited about! It’s two days until Friday, spring has sprung, times are a-changin’ up in here and Mother’s Day is just around the corner.
Wait, what? You don’t know what you’re going to do for the day of celebrating mothers? Yeah, me either. (Hi, Mom! Your gift is on its way… tomorrow… promise!)
The truth is, I live a few hours away from the wonderful lady who raised me. BUT — if I lived closer and I had the opportunity to make her a nice brunch, or lunch, or snack, or dinner, or dessert, or second dessert, I would. Because that’s the least we can do for our moms.
So if you’re lucky enough to share the day with your mom, make her a nice meal. And in case you’ve descended into slight panic mode now, I’ve rounded up a few recipe ideas I made for the ol’ Tablespoon blog for you to make on Sunday. Deep breath — your mama will love you anyway.
Eggs in a nest. So cute, so springlike, so festive, so tasty.
Greek yogurt and berry stuffed wheat crepes. Delicious and nutritious.
Lemon-lime souffles are impossible to resist. Impossible.
Salted caramel bundt cake. Four words that say, “I love you mom.” You know, besides that.
Grapefruit, walnut and artichoke salad with a citrus vinaigrette. It’s the salad to end all salads. I do not exaggerate.
And in case you’re far away from your flock like me, this homemade almond butter is a great, easy-to-make gift to send to Mom via snail mail.
Happy Mother’s Day!
I love you! I can’t say that enough!
Right back at ya! 😉
Nawww what a stunning post 🙂
Nic — Thank you! 🙂
