brown butter apple cheddar pie crescent rolls
It’s finally the Christmas season and while I’m feeling all sorts of merry and joyful, I’m also feeling immense guilt over all the Pinterest crafts I planned to do this year and never did.
Oh, this is nothing new. Every year, I declare that “this! This will be the year I make that homemade advent calendar! That I decorate my tree in homemade origami ornaments! That I crochet infinity scarves for all my friends and relatives! That I make a homemade wreath that won’t fall apart in two days!”
And then I get bogged down with Christmas shopping and to-do lists and baking brown butter apple cheddar pie crescent rolls and none of the crafts ever happen. Though I have to say that in the case of pie-stuffed crescent rolls, I’ll take them over crafts any day.
Here’s why I like these crescent rolls: They sound fancy to make, but they’re so not. They’re sweet and savory (my FAVE combo forever and ever) and they make for simple, quick and yummy holiday appetizers or desserts — or both, if your guests like them so much they want to eat them before and after dinner (hint: They probably will).
I also like them because they are not like Pinterest crafts, which look so easy to make but are secretly impossible for the uncoordinated like myself. These crescent rolls look easy to make and they are easy to make, and that is a promise. Because if you’re anything like me and you hear the words “brown butter,” “apple pie” and “cheddar cheese” and suddenly want those things in your life very, very soon, you don’t want anyone telling you to wait longer than necessary.
Make these crescent rolls while you set up your (non-homemade) Christmas ornaments. Make them while you order Christmas gifts online instead of making them by hand because you’re more likely to accidentally poke yourself in the eye with a crochet hook repeatedly than make a decent scarf for a friend. Make them while you browse Pinterest and ooh and aah over all the crafts that you must make! and probably never will. But hey, it’s OK. Because now you’ve got brown butter apple cheddar pie-stuffed crescent rolls in your life, and they are much more delicious than a homemade wreath.

Pinterest has a knack for making me feel incompetent, haha. Especially with it comes to crafts!! And yes, I have all of the plans every year too and without fail, never get around to them. One day! Maybe I’ll have one of those amazing, insane craft rooms that people post on Pinterest too? (Not).
These look delicious Stephanie!
I MUST try this apple cheddar deliciousness, I MUST! My whole family loves all Pillsbury roll doughs ever, so I know they’d go crazy over these. I can picture us all sitting around in our jammers on Christmas, opening presents, drinking hot chocolate, eating these delicious crescent rolls! <3 Have a great weekend, beautiful!
I definitely choose baking over crafting any day! These rolls look like something my husband would love.
I am a fail whale at crafts! I used to do textiles in high school but the years of not being by the sewing machine has drained me of any creative spirit what so ever.
Love crescent rolls! Easy versions of apple pie? Any day of week here!
Girl Pinterest is the devil, created to tease us with pictures of DIY’s that are never what they seem..LOL.. But these rolls are what’s up.. especially with that brown butter and cheddar action.
Good bye plain ole crescent rolls, hello new favorite thing! These sound incredible!
I can’t get enough of this flavor combo! And man, I’m with you on the Pinterest crafts. Guilty right here! I’m also that girl who immediately takes down all the Christmas decorations on Dec 26th. I feel guilty about that too! haha!
Dang, girl! This looks fabulous!
Absolutely in love with these! The flavors sound incredible!
And I hear you on the Pinterest-induced guilt. I did manage a few scarves for friends (only because I literally started in SEPTEMBER), but other than that, I got nothin. But crescent rolls > origami ornaments in my book, any day. 🙂
I’m guilty of not finishing my holiday crafts, too. I’m still attempting to finish my Christmas cards. I love how simple and delicious these look. Pinned!
Crafts terrify me! These however, I think I can handle. Looks delicious!
Ahh the addition of cheese in these is an absolute game changer- looks yummy!
Anything with brown butter and I’m automatically down, but I LOVE that these have apple and cheddar as well. Yum! So good.
